This is my cover of “Tango ‘Til They’re Sore” by Tom Waits. Just before I began recording, a thunderstorm came out of nowhere. It was pouring rain and grape sized hail was beating down on the roof of the woodshed I was recording in. The storm is captured throughout the recording. Let me know what you think. I have never felt so compelled to say something with my art. I have never seen a show that says what this show says. It has completely shifted my idea of storytelling. It’s the first piece of theatre that I can fully relate to as an African American artist. Thanks for this piece, Stew.
